Cyber Wellness Visions
The school's aim of the Cyber Wellness programme is to develop St Nicholas Girls into discerning and responsible ICT users who are able to protect themselves and be responsible for their well-being in the cyberspace.
St Nicholas Girls' School unique Cyber Wellness Highlights
The following are our Cyber Wellness programme that we have in place to help your daughter to cope with the fast moving cyber world.
Classroom Lessons (FTGP) - Form Teachers will go through pre designed Cyber Wellness lessons with their class. Below is a quick summary of what individual levels will be learning:
- Primary 1: Surf Safe
- Primary 2: Basic Netiquette
- Primary 3: Stay Safe In The Cyber world
- Primary 4: Handling Inappropriate Content and copyrights issues
- Primary 5: Netiquette and Cyberbullying
- Primary 6: Disclosing Personal Data and negative digital footprints
Cohort ICT training - We also conduct ICT trainings for you daughters to learn more about cyber wellness issues.
Assembly Talks (Term 1) - We conduct assembly talks to introduce about the Safer Internet Day for pupils to be more aware of the basic netiquette.
Cyber Wellness Fair (Term 2) - The school will organise a week of cyber wellness fair for pupils to play and learn more about cyber wellness. They can learn through games and quizzes created by the Cyber Wellness and Media Representatives from Primary 3 to Primary 6.
CW Ambassador Training - Every year, the school will select 4 Primary 4 pupils to go through a series of Cyber Wellness Training organised by MOE. These pupils will continue to serve as our school's cyber wellness ambassador until they graduate in Primary 6. They will help to promote Cyber Wellness within school.
