The CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls’ School (SN) Debate Society is a closely knit family bonded by our passion to speak and the perseverance to strive for the best. Debating exposes our members to a wide spectrum of topics and current affairs as they are trained to be eloquent speakers who express their views effectively and intelligently. We live by our motto: Passion, persevere, prevail. During competitions, the love and support of our fellow members and sisters spur us on. Even though the results do not always meet our expectations, we emerge as stronger speakers as our past failures are learning experiences that allow us to learn from them. As a society, we ensure that the voices of our members are heard and that we conquer difficulties along the journey together as one. We believe that every SN debater has the potential to achieve great things and we will work to develop this potential, allowing her to be her very best.
